Common sense prevails

It seems an 80-year old woman who moved to Scotland from the US in 1929 was threatened with deportation.

Presumably someone had an orange boiler suit and a zimmer frame on standby for her displacement back to the States, the potential for her being a terrorist not fully ruled out either. But thankfully someone saw sense and the idea of deporting an 80 year old anywhere is simply crazy. (Well, with notable exceptions)

So yeah, I do love these stories, especially when they have a happy ending and fuzzy quotes like this one:

"I know the weather is better across there but I am quite happy here in rainy old Scotland and it is nice to know I am here legally at long last."
