The Obligatory Monthly Football Post

Congratulations to Aberdeen for holding the truly mighty Bayern Munich to a 2-2 draw last night. I wondered if the Germans would field a weakened side but with Toni, Klose and Schweinsteigger in the starting XI then that clearly wasn't the case. Of course, I don't fancy the Dons' chances in the next leg but the fans can go there and have a cracking time in Germany knowing they're still in the hunt.

Congratulations also to Celtic for becoming the only team in the top 20 richest clubs in the world that is not from Spain, Italy, England or Germany

It's just a shame they have seemingly lost their star player, the frighteningly talented Aiden McGeady, to FC Utrecht!!

If McGeady has a sister that's what she'll look like!!

I would also like to take this opportunity to give congratulations to the mighty Hibernian who managed a 3 - 1 defeat of Aberdeen and showed great character to come back from one nil down.

Viva La Easter Road.

I wonder, does that makes Hibs a better team than Bayern Munich?

Does that not go without saying?

Hmm. Probably not.

That said, I felt that this was an interesting article and shows that our players are subject to the attention of the top clubs...
