Ok, let me first say that I think Labour have picked a very good candidate in Lindsay Roy. If the SNP do win the seat, as expected, it will be in spite of the former headmaster and not because of him.
That said, I rather enjoyed this quote from Labour's man in Glenrothes:
"This notion that he (Gordon Brown) is dithering is wrong. He simply gives himself time to think things through.”
Ok, so the old lady who takes an age to get on the bus isn't dithering, she's just merely thinking things through? Or the spotty teenager hesitantly approaching a girl to ask her out isn't dithering either? Or the Prime Minister who led us a merry dance on whether there would be a snap election or not last year?
As I say, Lindsay Roy seems a cracking choice by Labour, but I still hope there's similar pearls of wisdom in the future from the good man...

Sadly not Richard, I've not seen any tv in a while now come to think of it. (My being told by a colleague about a program where a bride lets the groom plan their wedding only to end up crying because she doesn't like the cake hasn't had me reaching for the remote control being honest.)

Richard I did just where were the Lib Dem and Conservative candidates. Or are major parites getting overlooked by our media dispite guidelines and regulations to the contrary.
There were seperate filmed packages for the Tory and Lib Dem candidates, Stephen.
Since there is at the time of writing no date for the by-election (although everyone knows when its going to be), there's no election guidelines which need to be followed. While Labour and the SNP clearly got a bigger opportunity to present their case (or make a mess of it) being the front runners, this would I am sure fall into the category of general coverage.
I'm not saying it's right - I'm just saying how it is. Once the writ has been moved, you'll have an official by-election campaign and the 4 main parties will be put on an equal footing in hustings, I'm sure.
