"How would you vote in a General Election if held tomorrow?"
SNP - 32%
Labour -20%
Tory-8%
Lib Dem-8%
Green-2%
Other-4%
Would not vote-25%
Total - 99%
Speaks for itself really. And 60% of Scots want a General Election immediately, not that that's going to happen. You know, due to the unthinkable "chaos" it would bring.
The sample size was a fairly sizeable 650 but with the last few polls suggesting 11%, 10% and 12% leads, a pretty clear picture is being built up.

650...I`m holding out for closer to 1000. Who carried out the poll?
I know, 1000+ is obviously the Holy Grail but at least it's a step up from all these subsamples.
I suspect we'll have to wait till the actual Euro results before we get a reliable 1000+ poll but so be it.
It was Scottish Opinion who carried out the poll. There was a clue in my subject line ;)
Hmmm, if I've got my figures right, exclusing non-voters, we'd see the SNP on 43%, Labour on 27% and the tories and libs both on 11%...
Which according to the highly unreliable but easy-to-use electoral calculus predictor, gives us (the SNP) 48 seats!!!!
Please let this poll be accurate, and please let Gordo screw up in some major way (again) really soon. That would be fantastic!!
Hell, 48 seats is only 15 less than the Lib-Dems currently have. If Plaid Cymru enjoy an increase at the polls (not very likely sadly; their coalition with Labour has tarred them a little), the Nationalist alliance could actually be the 3rd party in Westminster, given that the Lib-Dems aren't doing too great in the polls UK-wide, we may well be the 3rd party in London :)
That said, polls can change and Labour could win back a lot of support if we don't get an election soon. Won't stop the Tories winning, but it ould cut the 48 down to a lesser number. Still, the chances of Alex getting his Triumphant Twenty gets better every day!
