We know where you live

I had been impressed by the Lib Dems and Labour this week as I received newsletters from them direct in the post. I don't know if I was 'targetted' or if it was an expensive blanket mail delivery but it certainly suggested they had more than a few resources up their sleeve.

I finally received an SNP leaflet this morning as part of a grouped bunch of leaflets and the remainder of the unholy union was UKIP, BNP and the Tories.

I'm sure it makes little difference in the end. People will get all the election leaflets, they may read them and then they'll make their mind up but I still couldn't help but notice the subtle difference between the delivery of some over others.

It'll be the election communications that you have received. All parties standing have the right to a free mailing (within certain size/weight specifications etc).

Both Lab/Lib have gone down the addressed road as they are using it to campaign for Westminster and not Europe. Which is the wrong election!

I've still not received any other than the BNP. I'm not at John O'Groats either :)

Aha, thanks for that Pollster, that makes total sense.

In that case I lose some of the respect for the Lib Dems who sent two forms out with my address on it. A cynical ploy to get all they can out of these 'free' mailshots?

And agreed, the Labour one was Mark Lazarowicz all over it but, to be fair, that might have been his bona fide newsletter!

Subrosa, you're not missing too much to be honest and I'm sure youäll get a bunch this week. The Tory one is pretty good though. Cameron looks a bit scared in some of the photos but apart from that a very slick leaflet indeed.

Well thats my postal vote already in the envelope.

Would Mr Sheridan not have a good chance of being elected if he was first on his party list?

I see very few of the candidates have had real jobs - well except those in the BNP.

Did my homework first before voting SNP. Hope the rest of you do the same.

Amusingly most of the people shown on the BNP leaflet are from outwith these shores - see http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1186786/How-BNP-backers-really-foreign-actors-models.html. I guess the low cranial capacity of the BNP leaders didn't think anyone would know!
